UKF Grant for Music Recording: Application and Tips

Official information from the UKF website:#

The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation provides support to representatives of Ukraine's music industry. Creating new singles and albums will not only strengthen the country's musical potential, but also contribute to its cultural identity.

Grants for recording singles or music albums can be obtained, in particular, under the programs “Culture During War” (planned funding per project from ₴500,000 to ₴2,000,000) and “Culture.Regions” (planned funding per project from ₴300,000 to ₴1,000,000).

I recorded a video focusing on the key points of the grant, the application, and the budget. #

The application is highly complex for the average artist or musician in Ukraine. At the same time, the amount of grant funds is commensurate with the effort. According to feedback from previous years, the grant funds that the UKF promises to pay in installments according to the payment schedule are delayed (and the UKF takes no responsibility for this; this is also stated in the terms you voluntarily agree to when applying), so take this into account. Also, according to feedback from previous years, the reporting process is very complicated; be prepared to keep track of all receipts and comply with the entire work plan according to the application you wrote. DO NOT MAKE THINGS UP.

Use the services of an accountant and a consultant who will help you fill in all the fields, because you only get one attempt. Don’t miss it, so you won’t regret the time spent filling it out. Hasty work — WILL NOT PASS.
